Monument video mapping
The Video Mapping Festival returns to Seclin for the Herring Festival to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the city’s reconstruction! Discover a new creation on the Saint-Piat Collegiate Church, as well as the rerun of the mapping proposed in 2019.
As a bonus, a great collaborative video game will be projected on the facade of the Collegiate Church, inviting the public to play a game of collective fishing, as a nod to the Herring Festival (available by downloading an Android application)!
► Seclin, the 100th anniversary of the Victory Monument
In the middle of the 7th century, Saint Eloi excavated Seclin soil and found the relics of Saint Piat, an Italian evangelizer from the end of the 3rd century. He had a mausoleum raised in his honour, which remains today one of the oldest churches in the north of France! At the end of antiquity, the Collegiate Church’s site was already a vast necropolis. Today, alongside the Collegiate Church, remains the Victory Monument, inaugurated at the end of the Great War. Seclin was destroyed by the Germans when they left, but the inhabitants helped rebuild the city. This video mapping invites you to relive these milestones in Seclin’s history on the occasion of the Victory Monument centenary construction and the Herring Festival!
