The Rencontres Audiovisuelles association, organiser of the Video Mapping Festival, also runs L’hybride, a unique and atypical cultural venue based in Lille.
Since 2007, L’hybride has been dedicated to short films and new media. In 2026, the venue is transforming into the first immersive video mapping space in the Hauts-de-France region, incorporating this new element into its programme whilst continuing to screen short films throughout the year.
L’hybride presents an ambitious programme of immersive video mapping in a screening format. Each screening brings together several short formats (narrative, abstract or interactive) created by artists from the digital arts or cinema, offering a true auteur’s perspective on immersive mapping.
A space for exhibition and experimentation where cinema and digital arts meet and reinvent themselves!
During the Video Mapping Festival, come and discover the 2 launch programmes for L’hybride immersif: ABYSSES – Échos des océans (general audience, approx. 40 min) and Les nouvelles Fables de La Fontaine (Special Kids, ages 4 and up, approx. 25 min).
